CAMP VICTORY, Iraq – Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines took part in the Multi-National Force–Iraq re-enlistment, naturalization and Independence Day ceremony. More than 600 service members re-enlisted and more than 130 became U.S. citizens.

Of those who re-enlisted and were naturalized, several were from the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division. They took the time not only to re-enlist and become citizens of a country they are already defending, but they also took the time to ponder just what it means to be from a free country like America.
