PARRIS ISLAND, S.C. - Recruits of Kilo Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, endured the effects of tear gas during chemical warfare training June 25, 2013, on Parris Island, S.C.
The Marine Corps provides this training so recruits may gain confidence in their abilities to use a gas mask to survive in a chemically or biologically contaminated environment. Kilo Company is scheduled to graduate Aug. 16, 2013.
