ST LOUIS - During Public Service Recognition Week, Defense Contract Management Agency St. Louis received recognition in four areas of service at the 28th annual Greater St. Louis Federal Executive Board-sponsored Excellence in Government awards May 9 breakfast, attended by more than 400 participants.
“I’m proud of our DCMA St. Louis team and their efforts in providing support to local and national charities through the Combined Federal Campaign,” said Army Lt. Col. David Schoolcraft, DCMA St. Louis acting commander.
Navy Lt. Cmdr. Louis Lockley, DCMA St. Louis operations officer, received the Gateway Combined Federal Campaign Region CFC Best Supporting Volunteer award for his service as the top Patriot Division campaign representative and as a supporting CR for two other CFC divisions. In addition, he received recognition as the top Patriot Division CR.
DCMA St. Louis received two Gateway CFC awards – Team Volunteer Service Award and Small Team Volunteer Service Award – and the Gateway CFC Standard of Excellence Certificate.
Exceeding their internal goal, DCMA St. Louis also supported the region through membership on the Gateway CFC Leadership Committee, provided the Patriot Division chairperson, provided one CR and served on the CFC Awards committee.
Federal employees across the Gateway region contributed more than $2.9 million to a variety of local and national charities during the 2012-2013 CFC, according to a Gateway CFC press release. The CFC allows federal civilian employees and military personnel to contribute donations to an organization of their choice either via payroll deduction or monetary donations.
Damon L. McCoy, DCMA St. Louis contracting officer, was nominated in the professional category for Excellence in Government recognition. McCoy leads a team of contract administrators and procurement technicians responsible for the administration of a diverse workload of more than 1,400 contracts. His efforts resulted in cost recovery savings, increased agency credibility and relationship building among other government agencies and contractors.
