JFC Brunssum commander visits E-3A Component

NATO AIR BASE GEILENKIRCHEN, Germany - Gen. Hans-Lothar Domröse, the new commander (December 2012) of Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum, visited the E-3A Component here April 3, 2013.

During a four-hour program the general received a briefing, visited an E-3A Sentry and made a stop at Hangar 1. He was also given a tour of the mission and flight simulator to include a flight.

In addition, Gen. Domröse met with Maj. Gen. Andrew Mueller, the E-3A Component commander, Col. René Moerland, deputy commander, and the component’s wing commanders for lunch at the base dining facility.

JFC Brunssum is one of two NATO operational level commands - JFC Naples, Italy, being the other - in NATO's Allied Command Operations.

JFC Brunssum serves as the higher headquarters for the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan as our primary mission and NATO Article 5 Operational Planning, Baltic Air Policing, Military Cooperation and NATO Response Force, amongst other major activities.
