KABUL, Afghanistan – Gen. Joseph F. Dunford Jr., commander of the International Security Assistance Force U.S. Forces-Afghanistan, will deliver New Year’s greetings to the people of Afghanistan in his first Nawruz message, March 21.
Based on the Afghan calendar, Nawruz marks the start of the year 1392 and is one of the most celebrated festivals in Afghanistan.
