WARRIOR BASE, South Korea - Twenty-one-year-old Pfc. Kyoung Su Park has been in the Republic of Korea army for nine months. He currently works for the ROK army Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Command Post installing communication lines.

“I like working with the Army,” Park said. “I’m excited to spend more time at home after my service is done though.”

Park calls Jeonju, South Korea, home and hopes to take the skills the ROK army has taught him into a career within the electronics industry. The Army has afforded Park with many skills he will be able rely on when he begins his new occupation.

With only one year left in his military career, Park doesn’t have to wait too long before he will be back at home working in his desired field. Until then, Park is happy to gain real world job experience and have a chance to work with people he might have never met otherwise.

“It is very interesting, working with the American military,” Park said.

Park also likes American food, but his only experience with it has come from the post dining facility.

“The food was really good at first, but eating the same food over and over can get old,” Park said.
