News: Ceremony today marks change of leadership at SOUTHCOM, secretary of defense to preside over event

What: U.S. Southern Command change of command ceremony. This ceremony will include a U.S. Air Force F-16 fly-over by the 482nd Fighter Wing from Homestead Air Reserve Base and music performed by the Florida National Guard 13th Army Band from Pembroke Pines.
Who: U.S. Marine Gen. John Kelly will assume command from U.S. Air Force Gen. Douglas Fraser. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta and U.S. Army Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will preside and officiate over the ceremony.
When: Press is asked to arrive at 3 p.m. today to allow for credentialing, parking and security scans. The ceremony will begin at 4 p.m. today.
Where: Gate 2, U.S. Southern Command headquarters, 9301 NW 33rd St., Doral, Fla. 33172 (east of the intersection of NW 97th Ave and NW 33rd St).
