PAKTIKA PROVINCE, Afghanistan – Five country music songwriters visited service members on Forward Operating Base Sharana, Afghanistan, the deployed-home of the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division.
Tunes like “Jesus Take the Wheel” and “Not Me” resonated throughout the bandhall, giving service members a well deserved break from combat operations.
Ray Scott, Hillary Lindsey, Keni Thomas (a former Army Ranger), Troy Verges and Billy Montana played and sang songs that are aired on radio stations all over the U.S.
