    FORT WORTH, Texas – Five civilian and three military members from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Fort Worth District recently deployed to various states in support of Hurricane Sandy recovery operations.

    The eight district team members are supporting state emergency operations centers, logistics, and debris removal missions in New York, New Jersey, Washington and Texas. In addition two of the eight are manning a mobile Deployable Tactical Operations System aiding with command and control on various missions.

    The Fort Worth District has approximately 50 additional members standing by to deploy as a debris removal planning and readiness team, safety planning and readiness team and debris removal quality assurance experts.
