MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. – McConnell will join members of the local community as they march in the annual Veterans Day parade on Nov. 10, 2012.

Walkers are asked to meet at the intersection of Main and Murdock Streets, in downtown Wichita, at 10:30 a.m. The parade route will begin there and proceed south to Douglas Avenue in front of Century II Performing Arts Center.

“All of McConnell is invited to walk with us,” said Master Sgt. Beth Roberts, 22nd Force Support Squadron readiness NCO in charge.

Military members can wear their uniform of the day, and participants are encouraged to dress according to the weather and hydrate.

Strollers and wagons are welcome.

"Participating in the annual Veterans Day Parade is an opportunity to
showcase our mission and Airmen," said Sharon Hamric, 22nd Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs civic outreach chief. "Our Hearts Apart families love to ride the 22nd ARW float and show support for the community that has embraced Team McConnell on so many dimensions."
