FORT GILLEM, Ga. - Hurricane safety briefings were held by teleconference with unit staff members from 22 states.
In preparation for the worst case scenario, 3rd Medical Deployment Support Command, is being proactive in having soldiers prepared for Hurricane Sandy.
Multiple meetings were held to assure that safety is first in the lives of our troops and their families.
"All staff members are on standby in the event that they may be called to provided assistance," said Public Affairs Officers, Maj. Zoevera Jackson
Weather forecasters have predicted that Hurricane Sandy will hit the east coast. 3d MDSC has units is that vicinity.
