News: 5th SOK detain four insurgents

BALKH PROVINCE, Afghanistan - Commandos from 3rd Company, 5th Special Operations Kandak (SOK) along with coalition forces, detained four suspected insurgents during a clearing operation in the Chimtal district of Balkh Province, July 31.
The commandos were in pursuit of a senior Taliban leader who is linked to numerous attacks against coalition forces. During the mission, the commandos succeeded in clearing Ali Zayi village, which was known to be an insurgent stronghold in the past.
No civilian casualties or property damage were reported as a result of the operation.
