News: Black Hawk helicopters conduct mission over Marcy on Thursday afternoon

MARCY, N.Y. - New York Army National Guard UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters will be landing in the Eaton Road area on Thursday afternoon as part of a training exercise with the Army Reserve's 401st Civil Affairs Battalion and the Maynard and Stittville Volunteer Fire Departments.
The exercise is scheduled for approximately 3:30 p.m.
The Black Hawks, from Company F, 1-169th General Support Aviation Battalion, an air ambulance unit, at Rochester, N.Y., are configured to carry stretchers and provide emergency medical assistance to casualties while en route to their care facility.
They will be flying in support of the 401st Civil Affairs Battalion at Webster, N.Y., which will be conducting the exercise to practice new skills and develop a better working relationship with both the New York Army National Guard and the local community.
