News: New York Army National Guard Engineers clear old Erie Canal pathway in Cohoes

COHOES, N.Y. - New York Army National Guard soldiers from the 204th Engineer Battalion will be clearing the path along the Erie Canal here as part of their two weeks of annual training the week of June 10-16.
Members of the press are invited to visit the training site on Monday June 11 to speak with soldiers and learn more about the operation.
WHO: Twenty soldiers from the Kingston-based 1156th Engineer Company and 10 soldiers from Buffalo's 152nd Engineer Company.
WHAT: The soldiers are conducting innovative training by putting their military-acquired skills and equipment to work on a community project. The unit worked on the same project last year.
WHEN: Media is invited between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Monday June 11.
WHERE: Project site is located between Summit and Standish Streets in Cohoes between Erie Canal locks 14 and 15.
