KABUL, Afghanistan – A combined Afghan and coalition security force patrol discovered a weapons cache in Tarin Kot district, Uruzgan province, yesterday.
The cache consisted of three shoulder fired surface-to-air missiles, three anti-tank mines, 423 rocket-propelled grenades, 118,600 7.62 mm rounds, 30 rifles and other military ordnance were recovered.
Security forces destroyed the cache on site without incident.

South
A combined Afghan and coalition security force discovered a drug cache in Spin Boldak district, Kandahar province, yesterday. The cache consisted of approximately 1,364 kilograms (3,000 pounds) hashish. Security forces destroyed the cache on site without incident.
West
Acting on a tip in Anar Darah district, Farah province, Afghan and coalition forces discovered a weapons cache Thursday. The security forces recovered 32 mortar bombs, 32 anti-personnel mines and a quantity of ammunition. All materials were destroyed on site without incident.
