News: Ohio National Guard soldiers to return from deployment

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Army National Guard will welcome home seven soldiers from the 295th Engineer Detachment during a 3 p.m. ceremony April 19 at the Masonic Temple, 1250 Middle Bellville Road, Mansfield, Ohio 44904. The public is invited to attend.
The 295th was responsible for supporting ongoing firefighting operations in Zabul province, Afghanistan. While in theater, the unit maintained 100 percent compliance in fire codes and fire safety, resulting in Forward Operating Base Wolverine’s first “Green” evaluation rating.
Soldiers of the 295th received several Army awards for their outstanding accomplishments during their mission in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
