VICKSBURG, Miss. - Nine food service specialists from the 412th Theater Engineer Command's headquarters company left for Korea March 2 to participate in Exercise Key Resolve 2012.
Staff Sgt. Cedrick Douglas, the team's "First Cook," said that the Reserve Soldiers are ready and eager to take on the mission.
"Waking up every morning at 2 a.m. and working until 2200 every day, watching soldiers come through that chow line with smiles on their faces, and getting my soldiers back home safe. That to me would be a successful mission," said Douglas.
The team will feed approximately 300 soldiers from the 145th Field Artillery Battalion daily, according to Douglas.
Key Resolve is a two-week long annual exercise designed to ensure readiness to defend the Republic of Korea and sustain the capabilities that strengthen the ROK-U.S. Alliance
