News: Coast Guard medevacs man from vessel 70 miles off NJ coast

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — The Coast Guard evacuated a 21-year-old man off a 100-foot fishing vessel approximately 70 miles east of here at approximately 7:30 a.m., Jan. 23.
The crew from the fishing vessel Friendship called watchstanders at Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City at approximately 6 a.m. stating a crewmember was experiencing severe abdominal pains and in need of assistance.
An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Air Station Atlantic City arrived on scene and hoisted the crewmember into the helicopter. The crewmember was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.
