MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. - Another rotation of the 5th Bomb Wing is deploying to Guam for 6 months.
Minot Air Force Base’s 5th Bomb Wing airmen deployed to Anderson Air Force Base, Guam Friday, Dec. 2. This is part of the ongoing U.S. Pacific Command's continuous bomber presence. The airmen had to out-process and receive the pre-deployment briefing prior to leaving.
They went through the deployment line and made sure they had all
their papers and affairs in order to smooth out the process for the following day when they were scheduled to leave. Prior to take-off they loaded their luggage and said good-bye to their families. The 5th Bomb Wing has been to Guam routinely since 2004. The airmen will be there for 6 months to demonstrate their capabilities to promote security and stability in the Asian-Pacific region. From Minot Air Force Base Public Affairs, I'm Airman Geni Oslund.
