News: ANP stop rocket attack

KANDAHAR AIRFIELD, Afghanistan - On Oct. 11, Afghan National Police observed an insurgent emplacing a 107mm rocket and pursued the insurgent, subsequently recovering the rocket.
Aware that ANSF was approaching, the insurgent fled the scene. After arriving at the suspected location, the ANP were able to successfully confiscate the 107mm rocket.
According to a U.S. report, the rocket was directed at Kandahar Airfield and had not been fully activated.
The ANP secured the rocket and delivered it to the Dand District Headquarters.
