STUTTGART, Germany - Combined Endeavor 2011 is a 40-nation military exercise from Sept. 9 - 22, 2011, in Grafenwoehr Germany, to improve Europe-wide military communications and computer network interconnectivity to help nations partner together in responding to regional crisis or disaster.
During CE11, media is invited to attend the following events: opening ceremony; 9/11 memorial ceremony; Distinguished Visitors Day; press conference; and closing ceremony.
• The opening ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at 2 p.m. Event includes representatives from 40 nations, a marching band, speeches and representatives available for interview.
• The 9/11 memorial ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011, at 11 a.m. In all, 17 of the 40 nations participating in CE11 lost loved ones on 9/11.
• Distinguished Visitors Day is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2011, at 8 p.m. Leadership from participating nations will arrive to review the exercise.
• The closing ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at 2 p.m. A press conference is also scheduled on that day.
