116th CBCT conclude mission in Iraq Sgt. Breeanna Dubuke

BAGHDAD – The 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team relinquished their duties as Garrison Command of Victory Base Complex, Iraq, to the 149th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade during a formal Transfer of Authority ceremony at Camp Victory, Iraq, Aug. 31.

Since Sept 2010, the 116th CBCT has been responsible for the administration, logistics and security for various bases within United Stated Division-Center in support of Operation New Dawn.

The 116th CBCT will return home to Idaho.

This is 149th MEB’s second visit to Iraq, having supported Operation Iraqi Freedom in Baghdad from 2006-2007. The unit is based out of Kentucky.
