FORT BELVOIR, Va. - Army Brig. Gen. Lynn Collyar, the Defense Logistics Agency’s director of logistics operations, has been nominated for promotion to major general.
Collyar became director of DLA Logistics Operations in August 2010. In that role, he is responsible for a workforce that engages customers around the world to maximize readiness and logistics combat power using an enterprise solution.
Prior to assuming his current position, Collyar served as the Army chief of ordnance.
He is a native of Huntsville, Ala., and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Army Ordnance Corps upon graduation from the U.S. Military Academy, at West Point, N.Y., in 1979.
