    II Marine Expeditionary Force

    Highlighting Cherry Point's Warriors

    What’s your job?

We do structural repair and hydraulic maintenance on our squadron’s AV-8B Harriers.

What’s your favorite aspect of your job?

Keeping aircraft in the air gives me a sense of mission accomplishment.

    What’s the most challenging part?

Making sure that I do everything right and everything is up to standard because I don’t want to mess up – the pilot’s life is in my hands.

How does your job support the mission of 2nd MAW and MCAS Cherry Point?

By making sure the aircraft are in working order, we help the pilots do their job whether they’re just training or in combat.

How does your job in garrison differ from your job in the field?

The job is the same in both places. Here, we train to get the job done faster and more efficiently. There, we have to be fast and keep the aircraft supporting the troops.
