KANDAHAR, Afghanistan – Afghan national security forces, partnered with 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Task Force ‘Raider, provided humanitarian aid March 28, to a Kuchi village in sub-district two of Kandahar City.
Soldiers from 170th Military Police Company, 504th Military Police Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, coordinated with the village elder to have a representative from more than 20 families come to receive a ration of sugar, rice, flour and corn.
“They expressed their gratitude for the humanitarian aid as well as partnered security forces efforts in the village,” said Capt. Andrew Sergent, commander, 170th MP Company, 504th MP Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division.
“The humanitarian aid we provide for people in this area will continue to establish closer ties between them and the government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan,” said Sergent. “We are confident that through continued efforts, we will be able to connect the Kuchi population to the local government.”
