UPDATE: ISAF confirms capture of Haqqani Network facilitator in Khost

KABUL, Afghanistan – International Security Assistance Force confirmed a Haqqani Network facilitator was detained during an Afghan and coalition operation in Khost province Jan. 27.

The detained Haqqani Network facilitator was responsible for the movement of weapons and supplies for attacks in Kabul City and in Khost province. He had direct ties to other Haqqani Network leaders in the area. Recent reporting indicated he received a shipment of weapons and supplies and stored them in the local area for future attacks against Afghan and coalition forces.
