    4th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade

FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. – Hundreds of family members, soldiers and civilians welcomed 4th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade Soldiers home Wednesday during a redeployment ceremony at Nutter Fieldhouse. The redeploying soldiers are from two 4th MEB companies, 512th Military Police Company and the 13th MP Company.

The 13th MP Company. welcomed 26 military police soldiers home after conducting a 12-month protective services mission in support of the U.S. Forces – Iraq commanding general, Gen. Ray Odierno. The soldiers conducted more than 600 protective service missions and combat patrols. The 512th MP Company also conducted combat patrols within USF-I.

Twenty-one 512th MP Company soldiers were selected for this redeployment as part of the Reduction of Forces in Iraq. During their six-month deployment, these soldiers trained and evaluated Iraqi police stations as part of the company’s Police Transition Team mission that is ongoing. These soldiers represent a portion of all aspects of the mission; military police, mechanics, communication, food, Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and high yield Explosives and supply specialists.

One of the PTT Soldiers, Sgt. Jason Bock, a mechanic assigned to the 512th MP Company, returned to Fort Leonard Wood to meet his son, Kolton, for the very first time. Kolton was born July 21, approximately one month before Bock’s unexpected early return.

“I was shocked at first, we didn’t expect to be coming home so soon,” said Bock. “But I was excited to get home and be with my family.”

The redeployment ceremony was met with great anticipation by soldiers, their families and their friends but for Bock it was made extra special by the new addition to their family.

After their long trip home, soldiers from the 512th and 13th MP Company will finally be able to reunite with family and take time to catch up on the things they’ve missed.
