CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 22, Combat Logistics Regiment 27, 2nd Marines Logistics Group, held a change of command ceremony at the French Creek parade deck, here April 1, to recognize the transfer of authority from Lt. Col. Gary F. Keim to the incoming commanding officer, Lt. Col. Matthew B. Reuter.

"I thank my team of Marines present today," Keim said. "I am proud of the fact that I served in CLB-22, this unit is unique in this ground war-centric era of Iraq and Afghanistan."

Keim said they traveled to Greece, Jordan, Pakistan, and Egypt where they conducted bi-lateral and uni-lateral training that helped to reinforce their amphibious skills.

"Operating and sustaining from amphibious shipping is a unique skill in today's Marine Corps," Keim said. "The real proof of our talent came with the deployment to Operation Unified Response-Haiti."

Keim also praised the battalion's unique ability to operate as a cohesive unit. They were able to get the gear on and off the ship in an expeditionary manner to provide medical assistance and deliver relief supplies to the people of Haiti.

Reuter, the new commanding officer for CLB-22, is committed to maintaining the same high standards his predecessor and the unit's Marines have already established.

"I expect nothing more and nothing less from the Marines of CLB-22 than what I expect from myself," Reuter said. "I expect my Marines to have the physical and mental courage to accomplish the mission, and the morals to do what is right and to maintain the standards of the Marine Corps and this unit."
