Camp Robinson, Arkansas - The soldiers of the 87th Troop Command at Camp Robinson recently put their physical prowess to the test during their Annual Training, participating in the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT). The ACFT, a physical assessment, served as a testament to the unit's commitment to maintaining peak physical readiness.
Staff Sgt. Ethan Patterson, the NCO of the year for the 216th Military Police Company within the 87th Troop Command, highlighted the significance of the ACFT: "Physical fitness is integral to who we are… We train to fight, train to maintain, and train to sustain."

The ACFT challenged soldiers in various disciplines, including deadlifts, standing power throws, hand-release push-ups, sprint-drag-carry, leg tucks, and a two-mile run. Each event demanded not only physical strength but also mental fortitude and determination.

"Challenging yourself benefits the organization as a whole” Patterson said. "You have to dig down deep and find out what your mental ability is and push it"

The ACFT not only assessed the soldiers' physical capabilities but also served as a platform for growth and improvement. Through training and preparation leading up to the event, soldiers were able to enhance their fitness levels, setting personal goals and achieving milestones along the way.

With the ACFT behind them, the soldiers of the 87th Troop Command now stand even more prepared to face the physical challenges that await them, ensuring that they are ready to defend the nation whenever duty calls
