SAN ANTONIO - (Sept. 28, 2022) Members of Navy Talent Acquisition Group (NTAG) San Antonio’s Division Five gathered at Navy Recruiting Station (NRS) Mercado for an awards luncheon provided by the command in recognition of their exceptional performance. Awards were presented by NTAG San Antonio Commanding Officer, CDR Stephanie Simoni, Executive Officer, CDR Stacey O’Neal, and Command Master Chief, CMDCM Samuel Bernal.
As the division members entered the station, one could quickly tell why the group has earned the reputation as one of the best in command. The energy was high and although it was a time for celebration, members were still focusing on the mission of recruiting, both individually and as a group.
With nine awards presented, Division Five seemed poised to continue the award-winning tread. Machinery Repairman Second Class Petty Officer Keston S. Robles earned a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Texas Ranger Award for August 2022, Nuclear Field Recruiter of the Month for August 2022, and Recruiter of the Month for August 2022.
Additional awards were presented to Machinist Mate Second Class Petty Officer Heidi Salazar earned the Texas Ranger Award for August 2022, Boatswains Mate Second Class Petty Officer, the Chief Recruiter’s Hard Charger Award for August 2022, Machinist Mate Second Class Petty Officer Michael Okray, the Texas Ranger Award for August 2022, Naval Counselor Chief Petty Officer Jesse Lilley, the Division Leading Chief Petty Officer of the Month for August 2022, and the Division Five earned Division of the Month for August 20200.
NTAG San Antonio’s area of responsibility includes more than 30 Navy Recruiting Stations and Navy Officer Recruiting Stations spread throughout 144,000 square miles of Central and South Texas territory.
