CAMP ATTERBURY, Ind. - Most Soldiers say working with their fellow troops is like working with family.

For father-son duo and West Lafayette, Ind., residents, Chief Warrant Officer Dennis Huston and Sgt. Robert Huston, it is; but they like to keep their work relationship professional. The two 38th Combat Aviation Brigade Soldiers are now serving together in the same unit for the first time, and both are set to deploy to Iraq.

In early 2009, in order to accompany his father on the unit's upcoming deployment, Robert joined the aviation brigade as a senior local area network manager, of which Dennis, an intelligence technician, was already a part.

Robert said he would have volunteered for the deployment even if Dennis was not a part of the unit, but he is happy to have a familiar face during the deployment.

"It feels good to know some people you are deploying with, but to deploy with him is an opportunity I couldn't have passed up," said Robert of joining his father on the mobilization.

Robert grew up hearing stories of Dennis' experiences in the Army, and he looks forward to having stories the two can share after the upcoming deployment.

Because of differences in job responsibilities, the Huston's don't see each other much during the duty day. To share the deployment experience, they plan to take lunch or dinner at the same time and spend free time together.

Dennis didn't plan to deploy with his son, but is looking forward to taking advantage of the experience.

Father and son also hope to keep each other motivated; working to stay physically fit and stay close.

"Right now we work out six out of seven days," said Dennis. "The intention is to keep that up overseas."

Even though the two Soldiers are related and share free time, they do not let their relationship interfere with their professionalism.

"He does not call me Dad in uniform. I call him Sergeant Huston," Dennis said, "and he calls me Chief."
