CAMP TAJI, Iraq – The Centralized Receiving and Shipping Point, or CRSP, is run by the 297th Inland Cargo Transfer Company, 398th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 1st Sustainment Brigade. The 297th ICTC have been supporting Signal Company's movement throughout the deployment. The CRSP yard supports movement of goods in and out of Camp Taji.

Signal Company, Special Troops Battalion, 1st Sustainment Brigade has been working with the 297th ICTC since the beginning of the deployment.

"We've used them to send our equipment to other FOB's several times and all those times the CRSP yard has been crucial in our mission's success. Everything from personal equipment to mission equipment has been sent through, and everything made it to their destinations with no issues," said Sgt. 1st Class Clifton Norrid from Alvarado, Texas, a platoon sergeant with Signal Co. "During a communications support mission, we had to deploy to another FOB within 72 hours. This was the first time that we had to coordinate movement of equipment from one FOB to another. We were concerned that our equipment would get damaged or lost along the way, but the CRSP yard had a concrete procedure that was easy to follow."

"Many of the Soldiers of the 297th came right out and offered their assistance. They made it incredibly easy for us to deploy and meet our timeline. Their flexibility and willingness to work with us was refreshing and is very much appreciated," said Sgt. Frank Giger from Kansas City, Mo., command post node team chief with Signal Co. "During our redeployment we sent numerous container inserts through the CRSP yard in order to successfully redeploy our Soldiers back to the states. The CRSP yard helped us burn Radio Frequency Identification tags and coordinate transportation for our redeployment containers to Kuwait. Through the use of the CRSP yard, Signal Company was able to successfully conduct combat support operations through the duration of the deployment."
