PENSACOLA, Fla. – From coast to coast, Navy Credentialing Opportunities On-line (COOL) will be visiting 15 locations across the country through the rest of fiscal year 2017 to educate Sailors on what the program offers.

Navy COOL provides active duty and reserve Sailors, whether forward deployed, underway or ashore, a way to map their Navy education, training, experience and competencies to civilian credentials and occupations.

A COOL brief usually runs one hour and includes a discussion of the importance of credentialing and licensing during and after a Navy career. It includes a tour of the Navy COOL website and explains the voucher submission process and credentialing eligibility requirements.

“This is a great opportunity to get the word out about the value of certification and licensure,” said Keith Boring, Navy COOL’s program director. “This information can enhance career development boards, advancement, and individual personal and professional goals. We will also discuss and emphasize the importance of the Learning and Development Roadmaps (LaDR) and the United Services Military Apprenticeship Program (USMAP).”

The scheduled cities, with planned dates that are subject to change, are:
