    BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan — Afghan national security forces and coalition forces killed more than a dozen militants during a security patrol in Shaheed Hasas District, Oruzgan province Friday.

    ANSF and coalition forces were conducting a mounted patrol when an Improvised Explosive Device detonated, striking a coalition vehicle.

    Militants then attacked the patrol with small arms and indirect fire. ANSF and coalition troops responded with small-arms fire and close-air support, killing over a dozen militants.

    There were no ANSF, coalition forces or civilian casualties.
