FORWARD OPERATING BASE LOYALTY, Iraq – The living quarters and office of Detachment A, 106th Financial Management Company, which is based on Forward Operating Base Loyalty, Iraq, has received a much needed facelift.

After months of living together in open bays, the Loyalty Soldiers now live in partitioned rooms. With newly-installed walls and the re-alignment of the detachment's personnel, the Bethea family has been afforded the opportunity of co-habitation.

"Living together is wonderful, and we are very grateful for it," exclaimed Florence, S.C., native, Spc. Marvin Bethea, a cashier and military pay representative with A Det., 106th FM Co.

"The privacy we have now is priceless," added Denver, CO. native, Spc. Alycia Bethea, who is also a cashier and military pay representative with A Det., 106th FM Co.

The construction didn't stop with the walls, rather it moved to the office where many outlets were installed, creating a much safer work environment.

"Before the construction, this office was downright dangerous," stated Palau native Sgt. Bobby Hines, the site certifier.

"Not only is the office safer, but it doesn't look like a rental storage unit used as makeshift crank factory," remarked Sgt. 1st Class Deborah Thomas, the detachment sergeant, and Vilseck, Germany, native.

Another addition to the site was a FOB Loyalty Finance sign that advertises office hours and location.

"One of our goals was to leave this place better than we found it, and we've definitely done that. The office is more professional in appearance and the standard of living for the incoming financiers, much improved," concluded Sgt. Lawrence Kelley, the site non-commissioned officer in charge and a Danielson, Conn., native.
