June 9, 2016 -- ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Lt. Col. Michael Napolitano took command of ARCOG’s Southwest Cyber Protection Center in San Antonio, Texas, April 16, 2016. Napolitano came to SWCPC from Kuwait, where he served as the deputy director for Southwest Asia Cyber Center. Currently, as a traditional reservist with more than 26 years of combined active and reserve service, Napolitano is also the director of information technology for a private firm in San Antonio, Texas.

While the ARCOG’s mission is to support the Army Cyber Command to plan, coordinate, integrate, synchronize, direct, and conduct network operations and defense of Army networks, the SWCPC is one of its five geographically-dispersed CPCs which support the ARCOG’s cyber operations to assist unified land operations to ensure U.S. and its allies freedom of action in cyberspace.
