EL PASO, Texas - The 1st Armored Division continues to celebrate Torch week with a power-lifting competition held at Soto Physical Fitness Center here, Nov. 14.
Enlisted soldiers and officers participated in several events to include dead lifts, bench pressing and squatting. Competitors had to complete each event in three attempts to receive points for their units. Judges kept score cards and were tallied after the event ended.
First place went to 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division with 1,725 points; second place was 1st Armored Division, DIVARTY with 1,292 points and finishing in third was Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 1st Armored Division.
