FORT HOOD, Texas – Media are invited to attend the 1st Cavalry Division's colors uncasing ceremony Oct. 17 at 10 a.m. on Cooper Field here.
The division commander and command sergeant major, Maj. Gen Michael Bills and Command Sgt. Maj. Andrew Barteky, will uncase the division colors.
While more than 150 First Team headquarters troopers have returned from conducting operations in Afghanistan, nearly 90 Troopers will remain in a train, advise and assist capacity in support of Operation Resolute Support.
