    21st Theater Sustainment Command

KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany – The 21st Theater Sustainment Command officially marked the beginning of the 2014 Combined Federal Campaign-Overseas with a ceremonial campaign contribution signing on Daenner Kaserne Sept. 4.

The CFC is the world’s largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with almost 200 CFC campaigns throughout the U.S. and overseas raising millions of dollars each year for eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human services throughout the world.

Maj. Gen. John R. O’Connor and Command Sgt. Maj. Rodney J. Rhoades, the commanding general and senior enlisted adviser of the 21st TSC, officially marked the beginning of the CFC by signing their campaign contributions prior to a town hall meeting at the Kaiserslautern Community Center.

According to the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, the CFC is the most inclusive workplace giving campaign in the world with the number of participating charities estimated at over 20,000 organizations worldwide. The charities supported through the CFC range from nascent community groups to large, well-known charities.

This year’s overseas campaign hopes to reach a goal of $13 million, with the U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz seeking to reach $400,000. Participants may choose which organization they wish to dedicate their donation.
