FORT HOOD, Texas - The 41st Field Artillery Brigade will hold a change of command ceremony on Cooper Field, here, at 9 a.m., Thursday, July 31. The incoming commander, Col. Patrick Gaydon, will take command of the brigade from Col. William McRae.
Col. Gaydon most recently served as Chief of Fires for 1st Armored Division at Fort Bliss, Texas before graduating from the U.S. Army War College at Carlisle Barracks, Pa., with a masters degree in strategic studies, in June 2014.
Col. McRae is leaving Fort Hood, Texas to become the liaison officer for U.S. Northern Command/North American Aerospace Defense Command to the Federal Emergency Management Agency in Washington D.C.
