3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division

FORT HOOD, Texas – Troopers from the 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment “Warhorse,” 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, have proven they are a trained and ready force.

July 14 marked the end of their seven-day culminating training exercise, which included an air assault at the Boaz military operations on urban terrain site here.

The last day of training included a weapons-of-mass-destruction elimination scenario. This training follows two months of Abrams tank and Bradley fighting vehicle gunnery and one week of company/squad training exercises.
