    UPDATE: Water tanks 50 percent full; conservation and boiling water continues

    FORT HOOD, Texas - Water pressure and flow are increasing across post, however, the need for boiling water will continue for 48 hours. Sampling across the post will be conducted during the next 24 hours until clean water results are verified.

    Fort Hood remains in Stage 4 water restrictions until further notice. Consumption of water by all customers shall be limited to essential use only. Customers are highly encouraged to conserve water, using only for drinking, cooking and/or personal hygiene until situation is completely resolved. This includes prohibition of lawn irrigation, washing of vehicles, filling of pools, non-essential indoor and outdoor use, etc. The quality of water has not been affected, just the quantity at this point.

    If residents experience problems with water flow, they should call the Directorate of Public Works service desk at (254) 287-2113.
