FORT HOOD, Texas -- Although progress has been made in restoring water availability here, the III Corps and Fort Hood senior commander has authorized delayed reporting by military personnel for July 15. All units will cancel physical training.

Soldiers and Airmen will report to work at 9 a.m. Department of the Army civilians will report to work at normal reporting times. Contract personnel should contact their employers for reporting times.

Fort Hood Child Development Centers will be open at the normal time to receive children.

Physical fitness centers will be open beginning at 9 a.m.
Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center and outlying clinics will resume normal hours and staffing July 15. All outpatient clinics will be operational and patients should plan to keep their appointments at respective clinics.

In light of the continued conservation status, surgeries will continue to be handled on a case-by-case basis. Patients with scheduled surgical procedures can expect to receive instructions directly from their care team. Labor and Delivery will assume a modified operations plan. Patients should call the Triage Nurse at 254-288-8398 or 254-288-8400 for instructions.

The Emergency Department, Inpatient Services, Pharmacy, Lab, and Radiology will continue normal operations. Beneficiaries with emergent medical concerns should report to the Emergency Department for care.

CRDAMC staff should plan to report as scheduled.

The "Boil Water Notice" order will remain in effect until officials from American Water receive confirmation from laboratory analysis that the water quality meets drinking water standards.

Fort Hood officials will continue to monitor the water situation throughout the evening. If projected improvements are slower than currently anticipated, the command may implement changes to this schedule and to current reporting procedures.

Fort Hood military and civilian personnel are encouraged to check for updates with their commanders/supervisors, on the Fort Hood Press Center at www.forthoodpresscenter.com, Fort Hood Facebook at www.facebook.com/forthood, local radio and television stations on Tuesday morning.
