HULMAN FIELD AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Ind. — The 181st Intelligence Wing as part of the Indiana joint 19th CERFP, Chemical, Biological, Nuclear, Radiological and high-yield Explosive Enhanced Response Force Package will conduct training at Camp Atterbury and Muscatatuck Urban Training Center June 16-19, 2014.
The training scenario involves a large disaster in a hazardous environment, allowing the Airmen and Soldiers to hone their domestic operations skills for the state of Indiana.
“It’s important because it raises awareness for the community that there are elements in place in the event that there is a disaster, as well as sharpening our skills to help us respond to any incident that might occur,” stated Air Force Staff Sgt. Tryone Fisher, 181 IW.
The training will start at Camp Atterbury as a pre-mobilization set up and then convoy to an emergency response site at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center.
“This unit is one of the most well trained units I’ve ever seen,” stated Fisher.
The 181 IW participates in multiple training events throughout the year to continue supporting the state of Indiana.
“We are the first choice in domestic operations to support our state and local partners and any training that can enhance our federal and state mission is a win-win for the state of Indiana and the 181st Intelligence Wing,” stated Colonel Patrick R. Renwick, 181st Intelligence Wing Vice Commander. “As a community based organization these kinds of operations keep the 181st Intelligence Wing ready for any challenge that might occur in the state of Indiana
