Commandos from the 1st Special Operations Kandak, advised by Coalition Forces, conducted clearing operations to disrupt insurgent activity and bring peace to the region in Wazghar village.

The combined forces were attacked by small arms fire, machine gun fire and rocket propelled grenades from multiple insurgent positions while moving through the village.

The Commandos returned fire on insurgent fighting positions, killing two insurgents and wounding two others.
