FORT BELVOIR, Va. - Defense Logistics Agency Energy’s deputy commander will take over as deputy director of DLA Logistics Operations, according to a message from DLA Director Navy Vice Adm. Mark Harnitchek to the agency’s senior leaders.
Mike Scott will replace Redding Hobby, who is retiring, in May.
“Please join me in congratulating Mike and welcoming him to his new role,” Harnitchek wrote. “He’s going to do great things!”
Scott joined DLA in 1985 and has held a number of positions throughout the agency. His previous assignments include DLA Logistics Operations executive director for material policy, process and assessment; DLA Strategic Plans and Policy director for strategic planning and enterprise transformation; Business Systems Modernization organizational alignment chief; DLA demand and supply planning process owner; DLA Headquarters Requirements Team chief, DLA Land and Maritime deputy director of enterprise business systems; and DLA Land and Maritime acquisition and materiel management chief.
Scott has served in DLA Energy since 2011.
