Mobilization and Deployment, DPTMS Fort Bliss

FORT BLISS, Texas -- The Directorate of Mobilization and Deployment conducted a prayer breakfast April 8 at the 1st Armored Division Chapel. The event focused on the selfless service DoMaD Soldiers perform every day while assisting U.S. Army Reserve and National Guard units that go through the mobilization and demobilization process.

Led by Chaplain (Maj.) Artie C. Maxwell Jr., DoMaD chaplain, participants enjoyed food, donated by the Gospel Services from the 1AD Chapel as they listened to the message Maxwell gave.

“Every now and then, we as Soldiers need to remember that we are servants not only to ourselves, but to the Soldiers that are deploying and redeploying as well,” said Maxwell.

Sgt. 1st Class Terry Williams, a military policeman with the 93rd Military Police Battalion, 15th Sustainment Brigade, opened the event with a mime dance to the song “I Can Only Imagine.” Williams received a standing ovation and compliments for his inspirational dance.

Col. John Dorney closed the prayer breakfast by reminding the event participants to do right for all, that includes everyone who is serviced by DoMaD and for all employees to work together with their customers.

“When I say ‘Do Right for All,’ I mean everyone, that includes the Soldiers that serve in all the branches, our (Department of the Army) civilians and contractors and those who come across our organization,” said Dorney. “That’s what we are here for, is to do right for each and every one of us.”
