FORT WORTH, Texas – A Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) has been posted for public review for the Trinity Parkway Project by the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA). The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Fort Worth District is a cooperating agency on the EIS due to our role in authorizing a permit pursuant to 33 United States Code Section 408.
The NTTA is hosting a public hearing, in cooperation with the Texas Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration. The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m., April 24, at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center (formerly the Dallas Convention Center), 650 S. Griffin St., Dallas. A two-hour open house precedes the public hearing beginning at 5 p.m. to allow for questions and review of project exhibits.
The limits of the Parkway project extend from the I-35E / State Highway 183 interchange to the U.S. 175 / State Highway 310 interchange to the south for a distance of about 9 miles. The Project corridor includes a portion of the Dallas Floodway of the Trinity River, located on the west side of downtown Dallas.
The purpose of the public hearing is to inform the public and agencies and solicit comments on the schematic plans for the project alternatives and on the Final EIS.

The Fort Worth District anticipates releasing the Dallas Floodway Feasibility Report and Draft EIS in April.
