FORT STEWART, Ga. - The 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team “Spartans,” 3rd Infantry Division, picked up the ball and ran with it, figuratively speaking, when it conducted its first Female to Female mentorship event here at Club Stewart, Feb. 28.
The F2F mentorship program was started as a Division initiative last month, with the intention of providing female soldiers within the 3rd ID the opportunity to expand their mentor base, while improving resiliency, enhancing knowledge, and reducing isolation.
The Spartans’ program was kicked off with a panel discussion entitled “Balancing Work and Family”. To do this, the Spartan brigade gathered five soldiers from within the brigade, each having a different family make-up, and had them share life experiences before fielding questions from the other women in attendance.
