Staff Sgt. Ezri Cedeno, a native of Queens, N.Y., and an operations noncommissioned officer for gunner for Troop A, 3rd Squadron, 7th U.S. Cavalry Regiment “Garryowen,” 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, explains to a student the importance of nutrition after catching him try to take breakfast with out fruit or vegetables at the Midway Middle School, March 3. Cedeno, along with his fellow Garryowen soldiers, were there to help serve the students breakfast, promoting nutritional awareness along with the school faculty during the School Nutritional Association’s weeklong program, National School Breakfast Week. The Garryowen soldiers were not the only ones to support the SNA’s efforts by serving breakfast to children at a local school. In fact, most of the Spartan brigade, and many other subordinate units within the 3rd ID did so as well. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
